Rapier Rules Signed at Roundtable 7/17/2010 Slight changes were made to the rapier rules at Round Table this summer. This is a brief description of those changes: - Minors 16 & 17 authorized to fight on the adult field can now also participate in melees.
- Authorized Youth Rapier Marshals can now participate in training melees with youth rapier fighters.
- Adult trainers of youth rapier fighters may now use blades longer than 37 inches.
- For youth rapier, foils are no longer the default blade. As is done with the adults, there is no default so fighters must agree which blade type to take.
